  • The Java Runtime Environment (JRE), which allows you to run Java applications on your device.



  • The ActivClient middleware, which enables your CAC to communicate with your device.



  • The DoD Root Certificates, which allow you to access secure websites on the DoD network.

  • Click on the link "Download ActivClient 4.1 for Mac OS X 10.13 - 11.x (Big Sur)" and save the file "ActivClient_4.1.zip" to your device.



  • Unzip the file "ActivClient_4.1.zip" and double-click on the file "ActivClient.pkg" to launch the installation wizard.



  • Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation process.



  • Go to and scroll down to the section "Mac users".



  • Click on the link "Download AllCerts.zip" and save the file "AllCerts.zip" to your device.



  • Unzip the file "AllCerts.zip" and double-click on each certificate file (with .cer extension) to open it.



  • Select "System" as the keychain and click on "Add".



  • Enter your administrator password if prompted.



Installing GTIMS on Your Device




After downloading and installing all the components for GTIMS on your device, you need to configure some settings to make sure that GTIMS works properly. To configure GTIMS on your device, follow these steps:

  • Select your CAC certificate when prompted and enter your PIN if required.



  • You should see a message saying "Application Blocked by Java Security". Click on the link "More Information".



  • You should see a window with a list of exceptions. Click on the button "Edit Site List".



  • You should see another window with a list of sites. Click on the button "Add".



  • You should see another window with a text field. Enter in the text field and click on the button "OK".



  • You should see added to the list of sites. Click on the button "Continue".



  • You should see another message saying "Do you want to run this application?". Click on the checkbox "I accept the risk and want to run this application" and click on the button "Run".



  • You should see the GTIMS login page. Congratulations, you have successfully installed GTIMS on your device!



Troubleshooting Tips for GTIMS Installation




If you encounter any problems or errors during the installation or configuration of GTIMS on your device, here are some tips that might help you:
